Asian Languages

Whether you want your learners to get a taste for Asian Culture, or want your whole class or year group to study for the year, we offer a range of online Asian language classes to suit their needs.

Chinese Programme with Laoshi Lisa Wang  or Su Yang

Beginner and extension classes in Chinese. Students will have the opportunity to understand and use familiar expressions and everyday vocabulary. The focus is on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Chinese and understanding aspects Chinese culture. Topics covered include; self-introduction, family, numbers, classroom expressions, colours, food and drink. Students will use the language through interaction, games and songs.

Chinese 5 Week Culture Taster

In the 5 week taster programme, students will have the opportunity to explore some Chinese language and culture through various activities such as dialogue, role play, songs, craft and games. Each week we will have a language focus including some relevant Chinese culture when it is appropriate. Materials should be prepares and ready to use for the craft of the day.

Korean Programme with Seonsaeng Sunny Yang (All Korean programmes have no tuition costs*)

Sunny introduces children to the basics of Korean language and an understanding of Korean culture.

This shorter programme gives students a glimpse and exciting Korean culture and the language skills to be able to introduce themselves in Korean.

Japanese Programme with Sensei Olivia Graham

Students will have the opportunity to understand and use familiar expressions and everyday vocabulary. The focus is on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Japanese and understanding aspects of Japanese culture. Topics covered include: self-introduction, family, numbers, school life, colours, and food. Students will use the language through personal interaction, videos, and tasks.

Tagalog Programme with Rosmini College

This class is unique in that it is being taught by senior Filipino students attending Rosmini College. The students have been developing their teaching skills and the class has proven to be very popular, with several classes now running.  Find out more here
