Awards for gifted learners
Associate Education Minister Tracey Martin announced earlier this year new funding to support Gifted Learners, and many of our schools have been asking how they can access this support for our online programmes.
The VLN Primary offers many interesting online programmes and is already being used by many New Zealand schools to extend the talents and the interests of their gifted learners. Now schools have an opportunity to support their learners to apply for awards that will fund their participation in learning activities, this includes our online programmes.
Full information and how to apply are here - it is a pretty short & simple process & great to see that it is a process where our learners get to exercise their own agency.
Note the two funding deadlines, next one closes 30th August
Children could apply to fund their participation in 2020 VLN Primary programmes. To help with their application here is the link to our participation costs.

- a wide range of language programmes including Te reo Māori and Kapa Haka.
