Kia ora mai e te whānau! E hīkaka katoa ana a kareāroto i taku urutomonga ki te tīma nei,hei kaihāpai, hei kaiarahi anō hoki ki te taha Reo Māori. He raukura tēnei i puāwai mai i ngārekereke o Mounga Taranaki, I māringanui angeau ki taku tipuranga i roto Kohanga Reo, iroto Kura Kaupapa Māori, otinoa, i runga papakāinga, i runga marae. I tēnei wā tonu, hetauira hoki angeau ki Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato, e whai nei i taku tohu i roto i Te ReoMāori me Te Pua Wānanga ki Ao.

Kia ora everyone! I have the privilege of joining this amazing team as a tutor/kaiarahi in TeReo Māori. I was brought up in Taranaki, I was lucky enough to do all my schooling through Kohanga Reo, Kura Kaupapa Māori and Wharekura, also to be brought up on my marae, my homestead and my whenua. This not only put me in a position where I could absorb the knowledge of my people but it brought forward my passion for knowledge. Currently I am a third year student at The University of Waikato, studying my Bachelor of Arts, majoring both in Te Reo Māori and Māori Indigenous Studies. Te Reo Māori is not only a language but instead it is a lifestyle that I choose to live everyday and I can’t wait to share my knowledge with the students of VLN.
