Room 4 and 5 enjoyed learning a new language during NZ Sign Language week recently. We practised simple greetings such as 'good morning' and 'how are you?' We also learnt how to introduce ourselves. The tamariki challenged themselves to sign as they sung the national anthem each day.

We were also lucky enough to have Kate Wilson come into the classroom and spend some time teaching us sign language and sharing some of her knowledge about the deaf community.
