Winners of Waimata Netball Tournament!

Last Wednesday 3 teams from Waihī Beach School (Beach Whai, Beach Mako, and Beach Tuatara) all travelled to the Waihī netball courts to find a winner. 

“I felt nervous to know if we were going to win the tournament,’’ says Beach Whai Goal Defence, Indi. 

“I was really nervous to start the Waimata netball tournament,’’ adds Estelle, Beach Mako Goal Keep. 

“I wasn't sure how good the other teams were and that made me nervous,’’ says Beach Whai Centre, Frankie. 

The tournament started with plenty of games. They were 7 mins with two halves. Awesome games were played. In the end, Beach Mako, for the first time, beat Waimata in the final and took first place. All the kids had lots of fun and all had a great day.
