The tremendous shade sails that have 'topped off' our wonderful space at our new senior playground area were made possible by donations from some amazing groups!

Our amazing PTA has fundraised $2000, our kura has fundraised $1500 at the Saturday Farmers' Market and the Western Bay of Plenty District Council have funded $3500 as part of their Community Matching Fund. A huge thank you to all of these wonderful groups who got the shade sail project 'off the ground.'

The senior playground area continues to be a much-loved space at our kura. The shade sails have made the area much more sunsafe. Besides enjoying the shadesails every school day, we have utilised the shade sails during our whānau picnic, and our sports days at school. The senior playground is open to the community to use and enjoy, and the shade sails have been well-enjoyed by the wider community.
