Message from Shane: It was a pleasure creating artwork for Waihi Beach Kura swimming pool surrounds, liaising with Rachael the principal and local iwi to create an artwork based on the pūrakau of Te Koha o Tangaroa. A vibrant bold piece of work to complement the swimming facilities and incorporate local storytelling. Thanks again! 

Our local hapū Te Whānau a Tauwhao have shared Te Koha o Tangaroa, a cultural narrative that has important values and messages to protect ourselves and protect our Taiao | environment. 

We can’t wait to unveil the mural next term, where will share our learning with you all!
