Old Girls' News

Dio Communications —

It was so lovely to hear the chatter and laughter of the classes of 1988 and 1989, who reconnected at a year-level reunion over the weekend.

The Old Girls loved catching up with each other and the tour through the school, seeing the new buildings and facilities. The former students, some of who are now Dio parents, enjoyed lunch in the new Selwyn Dining Room before dinner in town. We loved having them back!

Downe House Reunion

Grace Lockwood (Class of 2021) surprised her Downe House exchange partner for her graduation at Downe House in July this year and celebrated the special connection made through international student exchanges.

"In October 2018, I was lucky enough to head to Downe House School, near London, for a school exchange - the experience of a lifetime! There I became firm friends with Rosie, my host sister, and many other girls. We kept in touch but missed each other a lot, so in my break between semesters at university this year, I went back over. It was so lovely to see everyone again, especially as I arrived just in time for their school graduation. While I was there, we had lots of adventures, being tourists around London, also spending time in the Cotswolds and Hayling Island on the coast, and we even went to Paris to stay with Rosie’s godmother for a few days. I feel so grateful to have been able to have had these experiences with such amazing people, though it’s fair to say a few tears were shed when we all had to say our goodbyes again."
