Meningococcal B
Meningococcal B can change life in a moment. As you may have seen in the news recently, there have been some cases of Meningococcal B in New Zealand.
Meningococcal B is an uncommon but serious disease that can devastate. However, there is a vaccine available to help protect against it. Most New Zealanders are not currently protected against this disease. Some people were vaccinated between 2004 and 2008; however, the protection provided by this vaccine was not long-lasting. Please contact your GP to see whether your daughter would benefit from the vaccine. Please see the links below for more information, to see whether your teen is funded, and for a list of symptoms:
