Money Jam Competition

Congratulations to Year 10 Financial Literacy student Jorgi Holt, who participated in the Money Jam competition run by Sorted. She had to write a proposal to fundraise for a community project. Jorgi chose the Fairfield Gully project as the beneficiary organisation. She has won $2500 for the project, and she will be fundraising as per her proposal as well. What a fabulous achievement.

KPMG Junior Accountant Appointment

Aimee White (Year 13) has been accepted to start as a Junior Accountant with KPMG next year. She had to apply, be short-listed and be interviewed for the role. This is a highly sort after position which will allow her to work full-time and have time off to study for a Bachelor of Applied Management at Wintec. She is excited to have been accepted for this role. What a great opportunity. Congratulations, Aimee.

Sports and Exercise Science (SES)

Year 11 SES went to the Avantidrome in Cambridge on Wednesday and got a taste of what it is like to be an elite athlete. The groups rotated through four activities - watt bikes, sprint and agility sessions using timing lights, a V02 max test and track cycling on the velodrome. Some even got to talk to Dio Old Girl and recent Commonwealth Games Gold medalist Olivia King, who is already back training in the gym!

This experience is an excellent segue into the Exercise Physiology component of the 11SES course, with students able to experience first-hand the science behind how our bodies function
