Introducing our new Year 11 House Parent

Kia ora

I was born in Birmingham, but my parents moved our family to Christchurch when I was only four years old, so I consider myself a Cantab. After thousands of earthquakes, I moved to Hamilton in 2015 with my sons to be closer to our extended family in Waikato.

I have been working at Dio ever since. I was the International Dean for six years and have taught Japanese and Health education. Before moving to Hamilton, I was a teacher for 17 years at St Margaret's College in Christchurch, and I have always loved being a Dean.

I have two sons. Jordi is 24 years old and graduated this year from Waikato University. He has gone to live in the UK and enjoys playing some international futsal. Nathan is 22 years old and lives in Hamilton.

I love to travel around New Zealand and the world (when I could) and love experiencing different cultures. I enjoy walking my dog, playing tennis, reading, watching movies, doing jigsaws, gardening, quiz nights, and spending time with my friends and family.
