We have been in the Christmas spirit in boarding with Christmas decorations spreading Christmas cheer and attendance at Christmas events. We attended the Annual Christmas Carol Service lead by our Reverend Stephen Black on Sunday 3 December. It was wonderful to see the chapel full with students, whaanau and friends in celebration of the true meaning of Christmas.

Our junior boarders helped organise and lead a Christmas-themed dinner with special guests invited: Mr and Mrs Curran, Mrs Johnston and her two daughters Penny and Ruby. Our dining room was decorated in theme with favourite Christmas songs, such as Last Christmas by WHAM, filling the air. Congratulations to those recognised for being dressed in the theme:

Our Year 9 boarders braved the weather and attended a special private screening of the LDS Christmas Temple Lights and had a tour of Legacy Park at Temple View. Thank you to Whaea Kim and Matua Seth Rose for organising this memorable trip for us in advance. 

The Temple View Christmas Lights on the grounds of the Hamilton New Zealand Temple are on Saturday, December 16, to Sunday, December 31, through 9 a.m. There will be performances from December 16 to December 24. The temple is at 509 Tuhikaramea Road, Temple View, Hamilton.
