From the School Association
Wow - it's term four already!! Where has the year gone?
Golf Tournament
One of the School Association traditions is to hold a bi-annual golf tournament. This is a fun day out (for golfers and non-golfers alike!) and a great fundraiser.
Our next golf tournament will be ambrose style, held at St Andrews Golf Course on Friday, 5th April 2024.
We are looking for businesses or individuals who would like to be involved in this great ‘Dio Day Out’. Opportunities exist for sponsorship at several levels - this is an affordable way to advertise your business:
- Platinum - $1,500. Includes exclusive golf day naming rights, sponsor a hole, lots of publicity + a team of 4 and more.
- Gold - $800. Sponsor a hole + team of 4
- Silver - $600. Sponsor a hole
- Bronze - donate team prizes
- Enter a team of 4 - $400 (individual players $100).
Lunch and platters of food at the end of the game are included. A drinks cart will be available, with many prizes and a fun prizegiving after play.

Next meeting
Our next School Association meeting is on Tuesday 7 November at 6.30 pm in the CRC Centre (behind the Sports Education Centre). Put it in your diaries now and come along - everyone is welcome. We will have home baking, lots of laughs and planning events for next year.
The Parent Association needs YOU!
After a period of interruptions caused by COVID-19 and personnel changes, the School Association is excited to be in a rebuilding phase. We are planning how best to operate our key roles and putting together some fun and friendly events for parents. Our goal is to focus on friendraising with a bit of fundraising.
Our calendar for 2024 is looking very promising! HOWEVER, WE NEED MORE HELPERS!
There are many ways you can be involved. You can attend our meetings, support our fundraisers, and/or sign up for our database. This database informs parents of what we are doing when events are occurring and how you can be involved.
Email dioassociation@wdsg.school.nz with your name and email address to join our database. We promise not to bombard you with emails or ask you to do lots of jobs.
Have a great weekend.
