Student Leadership Spotlight

Student Leaders and Boarding Leadership Council Structure 2024.

Congratulations to all our Student Leaders for 2024. In particular, congratulations to the following student leaders who are also boarders:

  • Tiana Lord - Deputy Head Girl
  • Sophie Reeves - Head of Boarding
  • Brooke Trebilco - Head of Environment (Well-being)
  • Hannah Levin - Head of Mission and Service

In week 1 of term 4, senior students will undertake peer support, prefect and student representative-specific leadership training with Burn Bright. This organisation specialises in delivering student leadership and wellbeing programmes.  From week 2 onwards, student leadership councils such as Peer Support, Arts, Sports and Boarding, etc., for 2024 will be finalised and communicated to students and our school community.

Next year, student leadership in boarding will be structured differently to ensure a fairer and more inclusive representation of student voice on our boarding council. Therefore, our boarding leadership structure will be: Head of Boarding, Assistant Head of Boarding, two Heads of Houses from each dorm such as Year 13 Johnson House, Year 12 Holland House, Year 11 Davis House Year, Year 10 Herft House, Year 9 Moxon House (these two reps will be elected by the end of term one next year). Herft and Davis Houses will also have Boarding Monitors to assist and support the relevant Heads of House and House Parents. Therefore, the Boarding Council will consist of 12 students from different year levels and dorms to provide a broader range of perspectives, skills and talents across our boarding houses.

Leadership is not about being in charge.                                                                                 Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.

Simon Sinek.
