Words from our Head of Boarding

Snippet from reflection shared at Leavers Service

It seems like it was only yesterday that I saw both my older sisters arrive and leave Dio, and now that it’s my turn, I can’t believe how fast time has gone. My time at Dio has been a roller coaster of emotions and has influenced the person I have become. To say it’s been a smooth sail would be an understatement, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I have gained so much throughout my time at Dio. I’ve made lifelong friendships and learned valuable skills such as figuring out the latest I can stay in bed before I will be late to school.

To my Year 13s, we have finally made it. Who would have thought that the little Year 9 girls who arrived at Dio in 2019 would be some of the most incredible friends I could have asked for? I have loved every minute of our time together, and honestly don’t think I could have made it this far without you. I wish you all the best for your future, and know that no matter where we end up, we will always have each other.

We have worked hard this year to build and strengthen our boarding community. Thank you to everyone for your support this year; it’s been great. He waka eke noa. All the best.
