About the Organisation:
Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school with approximately 670 students. About the Role:
Reporting directly to the principal, you will be part of the leadership team with a focus on improving processes and solving organisational challenges. You will have one direct report, an HR Administrator, who also offers recruitment support.
This is an exciting opportunity to make this role your own within a supportive team with a strategic vision for the Kura.
As our People Partner, you will have at least three years of experience in an HR partnering or management-level role with a focus on continuous improvement. It will be your responsibility to provide the highest standard of employment relations management, problem-solving, process improvement, strategy and planning, and recruitment for the school.
We envisage this role to be 32 hours per week; there is flexibility with hours and days for the right candidate. We can also offer additional flexibility over school holidays.
Responsibilities:
As part of the leadership team, you will be involved in:
•The strategy and planning within the school from an HR perspective.
•Collaborating with managers to understand their objectives and challenges, providing strategic HR support and insights.
•Leading, coaching and supporting managers on HR matters such as performance management and employment-related matters.
•Problem-solving and finding efficient solutions in a timely manner.
•Leading recruitment working closely with the HR Administrator.
•Report creation and writing monthly board reports as required.
•Data analytics to identify trends and areas of development for process improvement.
About you:
•It is essential you have had at least three years of experience in a senior HR role.
•You must have practical employment relations experience, specifically in collective agreements.
•You must be a passionate HR professional who can provide confident advice and proactive HR interventions to support our school's strategic and operational plans.
•You will be required to have strong problem-solving ability and a good ability to identify challenges and implement solutions.
