Parents' Association News

Good things take time - so it is with rebuilding the Dio Parents' Association. The goal is to have an Association that is an integral part of the Dio community and provides a platform for parents to support, engage, and be part of the school community. To this end, we have been working with the board to produce terms of reference for the purpose and structure going forward. We are excited to be progressing this and being able to continue getting on with things!
On Friday, 8 March, we helped out at the Dio Open Day by providing refreshments to visiting parents and girls. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers: Renee, Jen, Louie, Rachel, Louise, Freya, Jesimae, and Rachel.
Our AGM is coming up on Thursday, 11 April, at 6:00 pm in the Hubbard room (use the River Road gate and come to reception). We urgently seek a numbers Ninja to join the team as our treasurer. The treasurer's role involves preparing and keeping track of the Parents' Association financial records, attending meetings, and being part of our team. If this is a job that you are interested in, contact Anna at dioassociation@wdsg.school.nz
Other agenda items for this meeting include a parent guest speaker evening and a Mother/Daughter event. Everyone is welcome, and we would love to see you there.
The Parents' Association will also provide refreshments before the house chapel services throughout the year, so please join us for a cup of tea and a chinwag before the services.
