Please note the following reminders for your daughter’s arrival in boarding for 2025.
Boarding Chapel Services are integral to our special character and must be prioritised. All boarders are expected to attend. Whaanau is always welcome to join us.

Boarding ‘In-Weekend' takes place on Friday 14 February, and Saturday 15 February - the one compulsory full boarding activity this term.
Key Items Reminders
An alarm clock (all devices for Years 9-11 students will be collected at bedtime; therefore, an alarm device may be helpful).
A mattress protector (Years 9-11s: king single, Y12-13s: single mattress, although a king single will work)
Own supply of Panadol and throat lozenges and any other parental-approved medication.

Year 13 boarders leave for Camp
Year 12 peer support leaders - Please email lizzie.upperton@wdsg.school.nz by 20 January if you intend to return to boarding to attend peer support training including return time. If your return time is before 6pm then you will be included in dinner with our new Year 9 boarders.
Year 9 Boarders return to boarding at 3:00 pm (Parents are invited to stay for afternoon tea with their daughters from 3-3:45 pm in the dining room). Boarders are expected to be in their full school uniform. Please enter via Gate 1 on River Road, leave luggage in vehicles and enter boarding via Bishops Hall. NB: Please pass on any medicines (panadol, Ibuprofen etc) labelled in a named snap-locked bag and pass on to boarding staff on arrival.
Year 9 students' Orientation Day, meet outside the Chapel from 8:30 am. Year 9s require morning tea and lunch, pens & pencils, PE gear, swimming costume, towel and caps.
Peer Support training starts
NB: The dining room is open for all Year 9 students and Year 12 peer support leaders during the day. Boarding students will have packed lunches made at breakfast for this week.

Year 13 return from camp
Boarding Waitangi Exeat Weekend: the boarding houses will be closed at 5.00 pm for the long weekend. NB: All students are expected to return between 5 and 7.00 pm on Sunday 9 February to prepare well for the first ‘regular’ week.This includes all senior students. Dining room is closed.
Waitangi Day - School closed.
