School Association (PTA) Update

Term 3 has been busy behind the scenes for the Dio School Association (PTA). We have been busy making plans and rebuilding the School Association to ensure that it serves our parent and school community better and has a clear purpose.

The School Association is here to represent the voice of parents and to enhance the school community. We do this in several ways, including fundraising, selling Dio leavers bears, supporting school events, providing opportunities for parents to socialise, and much more.

Being part of the School Association is a great way to meet people, give back, and make a difference in your daughter's education.

You can support the School Association by:

• Partake in some refreshments and a chat after chapel or at one of the school events where we provide refreshments. Our next event will be welcoming new parents and serving tea and coffee at the incoming Year 9 Placement Testing Day on Friday, 17 November. Any helpers are welcome.
• Support our fundraising activities.
• Come along to our meetings. These are held every six weeks, so once or twice a term. You could get the “inside scoop” on what is happening in the school and meet some other parents.

If you can’t commit to meetings but would like to lend a hand occasionally, sign up for our Friends of the Parents Association database. This is used to keep parents up to date and informed of what we are doing. You can do this by emailing us your name and email address at dioassociation@wdsg.school.nz
