Arrival Times for Boarders 2024

Please note the following reminders for your daughter’s arrival in boarding for 2024.
1. Boarding Chapel Services are integral to our special character and must be prioritised. All boarders are expected to attend. Whaanau is always welcome to join us.
2. Entry via our Boarding Gate 2 for boarding students/families in 2024, should you find it closed, is 1840 (enter).
3. An electronic copy of our Boarding Handbook is available online via our school website
4. Boarding ‘In-Weekend' takes place on Friday, 16 February, and Saturday, 17 February - the one compulsory full boarding activity this term.
Key Items Reminders
- An alarm clock (all devices for Years 9-11 students will be collected at bedtime; therefore, an alarm device may be helpful).
- A mattress protector (Years 9-11s: king single, Y12-13s: single mattress, although a king single will work)
- Own supply of Panadol and throat lozenges and any other parental-approved medication.
Arrival times for each level and where to report
Tuesday 30 January
Year 9 Boarders return to boarding at 3:00 pm (Parents are invited to stay for afternoon tea with their daughters from 3-3:45 pm in the dining room). Please enter via Gate 1 on River Road, leave luggage in vehicles and enter boarding via Bishops Hall. NB: We will be collecting medicines labelled in a named snap-locked bag.
Year 13 boarders and Y12 Peer Support students who are boarders return to boarding by 7:00 pm. The dining room is closed for returning senior students. Please enter via Gate 2.
Wednesday 31 January
Year 9 students' Orientation Day, meet outside the Chapel from 8:30 am. Year 9s require morning tea and lunch, pens & pencils, PE gear, swimming costume, towel and caps.

Peer Support training - 9:30 am to 12:20 pm, PMC2
Year 10 Boarders return to boarding by 7:00 pm. The dining room is closed for dinner.
Thursday 1 February
Year 10 students return to school. Report to Chapel at 8:30 am. All students will need their devices.
Year 9 Orientation continues. Year 9s require morning tea and lunch, pens & pencils, PE gear, swimming costume, towel and caps. Dress in PE House colours.
Friday 2 February
8:30 am Form Time for Year 9 and Year 10 students, go straight to form classroom. Normal school day.
Friday 2 - Tuesday 6 February
Boarding Exeat (boarding students depart Friday after school and return Tuesday, 6 February by 7:00 pm)
Monday 5 February
Staff only day. School closed for instruction.
Tuesday 6 February
Waitangi Day - School closed.
All boarding students return to boarding between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The dining room will be closed. Please ensure boarding permission forms and vehicle permission forms (for Y13 and Y12 students) are submitted.
