The Years 12 and 13 Te Reo and Year 13 Geography students have recently returned from an action-packed two days in Rotorua, visiting several attractions to help them complete an assessment of the cultural significance of natural and man-made attractions in Maaori tourism.
Day 1 was a talk from the Rotorua Museum on developing tourism in Rotorua, Te Puia, Buried Village, and the Redwood Tree walk at night. The following day was a zip line at Okere Falls and a jet boat ride on Lake Rotoiti to the Manupirua hot springs, then through the Ohau channel onto Lake Rotorua, and back to base at the lakefront.
Thanks to our fabulous providers, including Rotorua Education Network, Rotorua Zipline, and Katoa Jet Boat.
