On Wednesday 12 June evening many of our boarders attended with other students, whaanau and staff members the Voices of Hope information evening where Genevieve Mora and Jazz Thornton (co founders) shared their own inspiring and uplifting stories (as well as others) to bring better understanding of mental health challenges. Jazz and Genevieve also answered questions posed to them in advance from students, staff and whaanau helping provide practical tips to us all about how to best support our young people and others in this space.

Two pieces of advice that reasonated with those that attended was shared by Jazz Thornton to parents where she said 'Just love your young person through their challenges' and to young people 'You want to see your future, just look at your friends or in other words, you are who you hang out with.
