In term two, the year 10's have been action packed. Starting off the term with boarding’s annual Lip Sync Battle. After all our practising and hard work we placed third but of course should’ve been first.

Secondly, we had a social event with the year 9 and 10 St Pauls boys at our school hall. On the 17th of May we supported anti bullying day by dressing up in pink for a themed dinner where we were served with delicious food and drinks.

Week 5 was stressful studying for our first NZQA exams in the subjects maths and english. We have had two devotionals this term, one of which was during Matariki, which was to remember the ones that have left us and think of our future. Plus a yearly chapel with St Pauls, to bond our two anglican schools together.

For our Herft house activity we did a MKR competition (dessert edition) which was a fun way to get together as dorms and compete against each other. We had some great judges with Red dorm winning. During Matariki week we had a themed dinner where our kapa haka performed for us.

Whaea Kim, our amazing house parent, provided a pizza party for the people in Herft house who got 20 points by showing respect and following the 5 marks of mission which we have been trying to implement this year in boarding. The borders that have stayed in on the weekends this term have watched rugby games and gone shopping at the base.

Lastly, we finished off the term with house singing which is more to do with the day school but a fun way to get ready in boarding with your friends and practise our singing voices.
