Moxon House - Year 9's Term Two

Boarding CommunicationJuly 18, 2024

Term 2 in boarding has been a blast.

We’ve had many activities that have made it fun. We had the lip sync battle to kick off the term but unfortunately we didn’t come away with the win but it was still a good experience. We danced and lip synced to Say My Name by Destiny’s Child. The experience of planning and practising has made our boarding house’s bond stronger.

A few weeks later we shared a chapel service with St Paul’s which was enjoyable. We farewelled them and then had an ice cream to end the night.  It was a bit of a rocky road when Miss Maree went off for her knee surgery in the middle of the term as we missed her alot. But we pushed through with the help of Whaea Jackie, Jaimee and Mrs Jaunay. These are just a few highlights of the term but there were many memories made from just being in boarding. Charlotte Verry

Boarding has been a bit busy this term, with loads of things on. The year 9’s had our first boarding chapel with St Paul’s, which I can say we all had an interesting experience with them. We have just had our Moxon activity where we all sat in the hall and watched Frozen. This term, for me, I have become so close with the girls, not only in my dorm but in others too.

Everyone has also been prepping for their tests, which we can all say we have been stressing about, but we have all guided each other throughout the experience and are all ready to smash them out. We also had the opportunity to go to a rowing meeting and we are all very excited to be in the rowing family. As you can see this term hasn’t seemed busy, but for us it has flown by. We all can’t wait to see the new things we have in store next term. Peppa Gribble
