Introducing Vanessa Parker - School Board Parent Representative

Vanessa is the mother of Ella, who is in Year 11, and Lily, who is in Year 9. She is the Head of Marketing at SkyCity Hamilton, sits on the Executive Committee for the Hamilton Central Business Association, and is a Trustee for the Auckland Softball Foundation Charitable Trust. Vanessa believes that a well-rounded education and access to a variety of cultural, spiritual, sporting, and physical opportunities for females provide invaluable life skills. She enjoys contributing to her community and is committed to positively contributing to the school's ongoing success.

Introducing Charlotte Bidois - School Board Student Representative

Charlotte is a Year 12 student attending Dio.

Outside the board, Charlotte is involved in many extracurricular activities, including Netball, Rugby sevens, and Kapa Haka and is a member of the Mana Waahine Council. She consistently strives for excellence in academics, sports, and social commitments. Charlotte's main focus is on what benefits our students, and she highly values the Taha hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing), Taha tinana (physical wellbeing), Taha wairua (spiritual well-being) and Taha whaanau (social wellbeing) of all attending Waikato Dio. She is very invested in how the school can empower waahine rangatahi to be future leaders, conserving the environment and embracing diversity. She thoroughly enjoys cooperating with the board to help her community and continues to commit herself to the growing prosperity of the school.
