From the Parents' Association

Term 3 is an exciting one for the Parents' Association.

We have our meeting on Tuesday, August 6th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Homestead meeting room. We will start selling our leavers bears, and we are hosting a mother-daughter afternoon that is going to be lots of fun. We hope this will become an annual event that everyone looks forward to.

Parents' Association Meeting

  • Tuesday 6th August at 6:00 pm

  • Homestead meeting room

  • Use the gate on River Road

Everyone is welcome. It's a great way to get involved, learn more about our school and meet other parents.

Bear Sales

Every year, we sell Dio Bears. These are dressed in junior or senior uniforms and are aimed at students leaving school. These are a great memento of school life, and we hear stories of our bears going off to University, travelling overseas and doing lots of exciting things. We recently had an Old Girl tell us that she still has her bear after nearly 30 years and another Old Girl who has her mother's bear!

If you would like to order a bear, it is $45. Email us at dioassociation@wdsg.school.nz and tell us if you would like a senior or junior bear, and we will give you information about how to order.

We will raffle the beautifully decorated cake, with all proceeds to support the Cake Detective.

There will also be a yummy afternoon tea, a photo wall, and many laughs. You will also take home your beautifully decorated cupcakes (if they haven't already been eaten!), a piping bag, a metal tip, and a recipe card to carry on the fun at home.
