Last week was the second Future Horizons Day for our Years 10 and 11 students to explore different career pathways by attending courses or experiences in both Hamilton and Auckland.
On offer was: Animal Technology at Wintec; Barista at Industry Training Solutions; Beauty Therapy at Elite; Photography run by Ruth Gilmour Photographer (ex-Dio photography teacher); Marine Biology at Kelly Tarltons; a First Aid course running at school; plus Intrepid Journey Tourism at International Travel College in Auckland where students had a Flight Attendant experience in their simulated airport & aircraft, followed by a spectator bridge climb, and Sky City Weta Workshop visit.
A big thanks to all our students for being so enthusiastic about trying something new, our staff for offering their time with supervision, and our awesome providers for all the opportunities.
