My goal as an educator is to guide and support others to be the best version of themselves. This makes everyday exciting and novel.

I have enjoyed close to 30 years in primary schools throughout the South Island, working with fellow educators children and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences. From 2 classroom rural schools to 28 classroom inner city schools I have had the privilege of working in the many ‘spaces’ of a vibrant education sector.

Teaching is full of opportunities to expand ourselves professionally and personally. Being a part of leadership teams working on curriculum, pastoral care, mentoring beginning teachers, supporting graduate teacher interns, day to day administration, have all given me valuable experiences which have added to the joy I feel when I say “I’m a teacher.”
