Harewood has a strong community feel and a wonderful, positive learning environment for New Entrant to Year 6 tamariki.

The school, located in north west Christchurch close to the airport, has a lovely semi-rural environment and proud history of providing high quality education. The school was founded in 1862 and is one of Christchurch's oldest primary schools.

The tamariki are at the centre of all we do and are challenged to "shine brightly and achieve their aspirations". Our staff are caring with high expectations for learning, positive attitudes and behaviour. Strong partnerships with whānau support learning and our family feel.

The school is safely tucked away from the road, and as our school songs says, "Harewood School is a great place to start!"
