Te Ara Maurea Roydvale School

Waimairi-iri —

He mai mahana ki te hapori Roydvale kura. Roydvale Primary School is situated in the Burnside suburb in Northwest Christchurch.

It is set in spacious grounds and has fourteen homerooms, a library, swimming pool, two adventure playgrounds and a hall. The school also has tennis and netball courts, a large sports field and a confidence course for older students.

Te Ara Maurea Roydvale School is a very friendly, welcoming and positive place where we have high expectations for learning. We have 300 children who attend our school who are considerate and supportive of each other upholding our school values of Learning, Respect, Responsibility and Perseverance.

Our teachers are committed to teaching and learning and they work in collaborative learning teams to ensure we cater for the needs of the children. We have a diverse group of ethnicities within the school and have programmes to support learning and children with English as a Second Language.

We have an active Board and PTA.The school has a strong family atmosphere with parents and community members working alongside the school supporting and providing assistance. We have an active PTA who look for both fundraising and social opportunities for the school community. We are fortunate to be part of the Waimairi-iri Cluster and working in the Waimairi-iri Community of Learning.
