On Friday 20th September we held our Waimairi-iri Kāhui Ako annual Cultural Festival.

This event is a major highlight of the school year for all kura and early childhood centres who participate. It provides an opportunity for kotahitanga(unity) as a kāhui ako.. Once again, the calibre of performances and variety of cultures celebrated across our kāhui ako was outstanding! Ka mau te wehi! Awesome!

Ka nui te nui te mihi ki ngā kaiako me ngā tamariki katoa. A huge thank you to all teachers, tutors and children who worked so hard to showcase high quality performances.

I'd like to acknowledge our teina(younger children) and kaiako from Ilam Kidsfirst Kindergarten and Pūmanawa Early Learning Centre. They were very brave to stand on a big stage and perform for us. These special tamariki were a crowd pleaser!

We look forward to celebrating our Waimairi-iri Kāhui Ako Cultural Festival in 2025.
