Our senior students are very lucky to get this amazing experience

Mr Young was very fortunate to visit Moana classes as they had their days in the bay yachting and kayaking. The arrangements were fantastic with Karl returning for yet another year of providing this experience. 

We looked at how long he has been doing this and it is a very long time that Waimataitai students have learned to kayak and sail in the bay. 

 The students I spoke with were very excited about the event. Some of them were quite unsure before they went but when they got there, they surprised themselves at how much they could achieve. 

Students reported that they saw dolphins in the bay which was a real treat for some of our community who have had very little to do with the sea in the past.
