Over the 10 days on the free Girl Boss Edge online programme, "I joined livestreams with famous healthcare professionals such as Jazz Thornton and Dr Hinemoa Elder".

In the recent term holidays, I completed a GirlBoss Edge course over a period of ten days. GirlBoss Edge is an organisation run and created by Alexia Hilbertidou. It is an online career accelerator which helps young women become unapologetically ambitious in the pursuit of their most audacious goals. I chose to do the healthcare course as this is something I have been looking into for my future career. Over the 10 days I joined livestreams with famous healthcare professionals such as Jazz Thornton and Dr Hinemoa Elder, completed modules of work and joined Gatherground streams with the other participants. In this course there were over 700 young girls from all over New Zealand, all with similar dreams and goals. One thing I really enjoyed about the course was getting to know other people who had the same drive and determination as me in my chosen area. I really recommend GirlBoss Edge courses and I hope to hear of many more wahine getting involved from Waimate High.
