DUNEDIN TERTIARY OPEN DAYS
Sunday 26 & Monday 27 May 2024
Each year we offer our senior students the opportunity to attend the Dunedin Tertiary Open Day, we will be taking two full vans of enthusiastic students on Monday 27 May!
The Dunedin Tertiary Open Days have academic presentations and activities, residential college tours, as well as lots of displays and activities from clubs and services. It's a showcase of what tertiary life looks like in Dunedin at the University of Otago and Otago Polytechnic.
Open Days are an excellent opportunity to experience first-hand what tertiary education offers, enabling students to make informed decisions about their future education. Please refer to the links provided and attachments for further information:
We are delighted to advise that we have purchased the Thrive for Life University Workbook (suitable for any tertiary open day) for our students. Seniors can collect one from the Careers Advisor in the Library (our students attending the Dunedin Tertiary Open Days have received a copy). This comprehensive workbook will help students make the most of their visit and is filled with insider tips!
Please note – parents are welcome to attend with their child/children the event on Sunday 26th and/or Monday 27 May. You will need to arrange your own transport to and from the event. If your student is attending the Open Day with you on Monday 27 May, please email the school office office@waimate-high.school.nz to advise of their absence from school.
