Congratulations to the Alex and his team for placing second in their division!

On Tuesday 24th May a small group of students from Waimate High School and our contributing schools attended the Special Olympics Football Tournament in Timaru. There were six teams involved with two divisions.

Waimate played games against Opihi College and Ashburton. The team reached the final where they played off against the team from Ashburton. They all played with enthusiasm despite the opposition being older and bigger.

We ultimately finished 2nd in our division.

Congratulations to Alex, Harry (Waituna Creek), Harrison and Cateyln (Makikihi School) for their awesome efforts.
