Congratulations to Axyl Bailey for being selected for the South Canterbury Year 9&10 Cricket team.

Last Sunday Axyl Bailey suited up for the South Canterbury Year 9 and 10 Cricket team to play against North Otago at the Celtic Sports ground. 

What a great day they had with the sun shining and the runs coming in thick and fast after batting first. South Canterbury posted a huge target of 287/6 after their 50 overs, unfortunately it was too good for Axyl to get a bat. 

In the second innings, Axyl was first change to bowl and he made the most of his chance with the ball, finishing with figures of 1 for 18 off 4 overs. South Canterbury finished with a win by 162 runs. 

Axyl has another game this Sunday against Canterbury Country at Leeston Park.
