Principal's Word - Term 3 Week 10
Kia ora everyone,
Well we made it to the end of the term, albeit, a bit damp! I'm writing this article from my parents front room in the UK as I'm spending the school holidays over here.
Today, we farewell 3 staff members, Hannah Gee a teacher aide who's been supprting our Year 7 classes; Simon Taylor who has been covering for Mrs Nicolson whilst she's been on maternity leave and Bernie Reedy, our Learning Support Coordinator who is taking up a job up in Wairoa, which is her home town. I would like to thank them all for their contribution and support of our students and wish them all the very best for their next steps.
As we finish one term, we are already thinking of the next and on Monday this week I spoke with all students about the new cellphone free rules that will be in force from Monday 9th October. I emailed all parents with our procedures to manage this too but I encourage you to get in touch if you have any queries about it. We are also moving into our summer uniform and please remember if you need financial help with uniform you can reach out to the school for assistance.
Our Year 7 and 8 students have had a great time at the Koru games. You can read more in this newsletter.
Have a great break,
Jo
