Kia ora everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed the extra hour over the weekend. Monday's are usually our busiest days in terms of COVID reporting but this Monday has not been as busy. I hope this is a signal that we are over the peak (fingers crossed!) 54 total student cases represents 20% of our total student population.  Some students are now into their second round of isolation. I have included a new flowchart at the end of this article to help you work out if your child needs to isolate again if someone new tests positive in your household after the first case has recovered.

Attendance is sitting at 77% today. 12% of these absences are directly COVID related and we would be expecting around 10% general sickness at this time of year. At this stage we will continue to stay in Stage 1 of our COVID response plan. I have also attached our plan to the end of this article as its been a wee while since I last included it.  Please feel free to contact me if you're unsure of whether your child can return to school.

Here's our daily summary:

Total Positive Cases: 54 students and 2 staff members

Current Cases: 22 students and 2 staff members (non-teaching)

Recovered students back at school: 32

Current Isolating Household Contacts: 10 students and 1 staff member

Take care,
