Principal's Word - Term 1 Week 3

Kellie Tagiaia —

Kia ora Everyone!

Wow, another busy week. I had great feedback about our student volunteers who helped out at the Waimate 50 sprints, last weekend. We have another group helping at the Rodeo tomorrow.

On Wednesday we held our Year 10 -13 information evening where we talked about how NCEA works, subject selection, pathways, University, Scholarships and lots more. The feedback from parents who attended was positive, so please if you get a chance, next time come along - we would love to see you!

Yesterday, we held our Swimming Sports event at the pool. I LOVE this day. It's our first House event and the students certainly showed their house spirit. I want to thank all our amazing volunteers, parents and grandparents who came along to help out in a whole range of ways. We are so appreciative of having your support.

We'll post the swimming results very soon!

Alongside this we have had both the 800m and 1500m Athletics events at lunchtimes. It has been great to see strong numbers of involvement. The 3000m will be held on Monday. We are looking forward to a great full athletics day next week on Thursday 27th Feb. If you are able to help out at all at an event please let me know.

Today we had the school class and individual photos taken, so keep an eye out for when these are available at school and on the Kolourcare website.

Enjoy your weekend,

Kellie
