Congratulations to the Waimate High School students that were selected for the Aoraki Eels Under 14 Rugby League teams that played in the South Island Youth Tournaments in Oamaru over the school holidays.

This is an awesome achievement for the girls, for all of whom rugby league is new, and for some who are new to rugby this year.

Congratulations to Lily-Kay Henare, Kayla Proudfoot, Zaylee Davis, Ellahjaye Hynes, Mira Arpagaus, Francis Taafaki and Maxine Dela Cruz for being selected in the team.

Congratulations to Santi Zimmermann and Jack Stringer for being selected in the Boys team. The Boys team had some great games with a number of wins across their tournament. 

South Island Tournament Team selection achievements must also be acknowledged for Zaylee Davis and Francis Taafaki who were selected into the girls under 14 South Island tournament team.
