CRICKET:

The Waimate Cricket Club Prizegiving at the weekend saw some great results.

The Waimate Colts team which has many of our students playing for them have had a great season and are currently sitting joined on the top of the table going into next season. Their efforts were celebrated on Saturday with Zach Fisher picking up the trophy for most wickets over the season and Jordy Sew Hoy for most runs for the Colts grade. Jordy also won the trophy for most runs for the club and the most Outstanding Junior player U18. The prestigious Royal Tavern trophy is based on a point system and points can be achieved for batting, bowling and fielding for all club members. This year and for the second year in a row it was awarded to Jordy Sew Hoy. What a great season and we look forward to what next season has to offer.
