Literacy and Numeracy Assessments

Anne Harvey —

The first round of assessments is coming up in Week 5.

The Literacy and Numeracy Common Assessment Activities (CAAs) are coming up on Monday (writing), Tuesday (numeracy) and Thursday (reading) of Week Five. Students will sit these assessments on their devices under exam conditions. This will mainly involve students in Years 10 and 11, as well as any other students in the senior school who have yet to sit these assessments. In Term 3, there will be a second assessment window, which we will open up to students who are ready to be assessed in Years 7-9.

Letters will be sent out next week to the whanau of students sitting the CAAs. This letter will outline which assessments they will be sitting and will give tips on how to help students be prepared.

If you have any questions about these assessments, please get in contact with your child's Learning Advisor or our Literacy/Numeracy Leads.
