🏉 AORAKI TOUCH 🏉

Kellie Tagiaia —

Great day of touch and some great results!

On Tuesday Ms Tagiaia and Mr Caird took a Year 9 & 10 and Junior Touch team to the Aoraki Touch Competition held in Timaru.

It was a great day out for the junior team to experience touch and how to play in a game setting. They learnt a lot about the game and how fast it is. Many realised that what we have been saying is true - it really isn't like rugby at all!

The Year 9 & 10 team played some great touch after some early errors with passes not going to hand. Once they got into their groove and had improved skill execution, their moves and game structures they have been learning took effect. The team finished 3rd overall in the Mixed Grade.

A big thank you to Mr Caird for his coaching expertise and to Ngakau Taupo who came along for the day as referee.
