In-Zone Careers Kiosk

Marie Donaldson —

The state-of-the-art touch screen kiosks are easy to use and accessible to all year levels, providing guidance for students who are undecided on their next step.

Inzone’s high-tech Careers Kiosk is currently based at the Waimate District library. Today students from Te Awa Whiria Pathways class visited the careers kiosk. Lisa Dobson from Mayors Taskforce for jobs, showed Waimate High students how to use the kiosk. It was great having Sam Martin, school’s liaison from the NZ Defence Force pop in accompany us on our visit. Ka mau te wehi! Awesome!

The careers kiosk provides up-to-date careers information and a fantastic multi-media view of a wide range of employment and training opportunities in New Zealand. These are linked to the six colour coded vocational pathways.

The kiosk is also available to younger students where they have a unique opportunity to find a career they can be passionate about. Students can then select the correct subjects to maximise their potential to advance in these industries. If you want to have a go, the kiosk is currently available at the Waimate District library, for students and whānau to use to explore career options.
