We recently had Olivia Slack from Your Education visit to talk to interested students about student exchanges. There are 20 exciting destinations to choose from and exchanges can be short term, a semester or a year, offering a unique opportunity to immerse in different cultures, make lasting friendships, and broaden horizons.

Participating in student exchanges allows individuals to explore the world, experience diverse traditions, and make global friendships. It was great to see students' enthusiasm and curiosity during the session, as they asked insightful questions about the exchange programmes. Students were excited that there are scholarships available to help them achieve their dream to study abroad.

Olivia talked about the new Tokyo Cultural Camps (either a two-week camp in January or a three week in June/July). Students from around New Zealand travel as a group to Tokyo, and the experience amazing activities, such as: Japanese language classes, visiting a local Japanese high school, joining different classes and a calligraphy workshop, taiko, kendo, martial arts, a tea ceremony and traditional dances, a visit to an amusement park, Akihabara, Harajuku, Meiji Jingu, and Japanese cooking lessons.
