What is “Humans of WHS”?

“Humans of WHS” is the opportunity to tell the tale of someone within our school community.

It is a research project that will enable Year 9 students to apply what they have learned about narrative texts to capture a meaningful story. It is based on the famous photography project “Humans of New York” , https://www.humansofnewyork.com/ . The Year 9s had an interview process and their goals were to tell a story, capturing as many details as possible, be respectful and demonstrate superb listening skills. I hope you enjoy this project that the Year 9 English classes have put together for you.

In May 2023 at 4:00pm, Zach drove to the Waimate gym at the Event Centre. He wanted to get bigger and stronger for his Fortnite fingers. After that day, he stayed consistent in going to the gym. Every day that he got more muscular and solid. That is how Zach had the best time of his life.
