Nine Waimate High School students have been selected for the Aoraki Eels Under 14 Rugby League teams.

Congratulations to the Waimate High School students that have been selected for the Aoraki Eels Under 14 Rugby League teams to play in the South Island Youth Tournaments in Oamaru over the school holidays. 

This is first Aoraki Eels girls team which will take part in their first tournament - South Island Champs this weekend. This is an awesome achievement for the girls, for all of whom rugby league is new, and for some who are new to rugby this year. 

The girls team plays in Oamaru on the 1st and 2nd July.  Congratulations to Lily-Kay Henare, Kayla Proudfoot, Zaylee Davis, Ellahjaye Hynes, Mira Arpagaus, Francis Taafaki and Maxine Dela Cruz for being selected in the team.  The boys team plays in Oamaru on the 8th and 9th July. Congratulations to Santi Zimmermann and Jack Stringer for being selected.  Go hard and enjoy the opportunity and new learnings!
