ATHLETICS ACHIEVEMENTS

We have had 3 students who have recently been involved in Canterbury Athletics Championships.

Erica competed in the Senior Canterbury Champs held at Nga Puna Wai in Christchurch. She competed in the 100, 200 and Long Jump. Her results placed her in the top 10  for all events. Her 100m she finished 10th, 200m 8th and Long Jump 6th. 

Erica is off to Australia to compete in the Coast to Coast International Track and Field Champs held from 11-18th July on the Gold Coast. This sees athletes from NZ, Australia and America attend to compete. She will travel under the Christchurch team for this. We wish her all the best for this event. She is currently doing fundraising, so if you are after any baked good please get in touch with her to support her. 

Briar and Aaliayah were competing in the Children's Canterbury Champs that were held recently at Nga Puna Wai in Christchurch. Both girls had some great results over the weekend. 

Briar was in the 12 year old girls and finished 3rd in Shot and High Jump and 5th in Discus, 10th Long Jump. She also made semi finals for the 200m. She finished 4th on points in her age group. 

Aaliayah was in the 10 year old girls and finished 9th in Long Jump, 6th in Discus, 5th in Shot and she made the final for the 100m finishing 5th.
