AORAKI SECONDARY SCHOOLS JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

There were 8 teams entered in the Aoraki Secondary Schools Junior Boys A Grade Competition, split into two pools. The teams were from Timaru Boys High School, Ashburton College, Roncalli College, Geraldine High School, Waitaki Boys High School, Mountainview High School and ourselves.

The boys had a pretty tough pool with Timaru Boys, Ashburton A and Geraldine. They came away with a very close win against Geraldine 22-21. 

This put the boys 3rd in their pool, going into crossovers.  With injury and fatigue hitting the team, they came away in 8th place. The boys played extremely well with some great team plays and are really working well as a team.  

Thank you so much to Chris Thomas for making the trip up to Ashburton to coach the boys. Chris was very pleased with how the boys played and how much they have improved this season so far.
