Principal's Word

From the Principal - Week 9 Term 3
    by Nicole Cooney

Kia ora everybody,

I just want to start by acknowledging the students and staff involved in the production last week. I got to see it on Friday evening and it was fantastic!!! The students did so well and they are a talented bunch. Thanks to Mrs Nicolson, Mr Shea and Ms Harvey for their work in supporting the students to put on this show. Both nights were packed out so a big thank you to all who came to see the show.

Koru games has been on this week with a big group of Year 7 and 8s travelling to Christchurch representing Waimate High School. I'm looking forward to hearing about how the students got on. Thanks to Ms T, Miss Jarvis and Mrs Cooney for taking the students and our wonderful parents Mr Chave, Mr Thomas and Mrs Guy. Thank you to Mr Caird for joining us too.

We are looking forward to our Market Fair next week so I hope to see lots of you there next Wednesday.

As has been confirmed this week, the school will now be closed on November 11 for a public holiday. This does not affect our finish date which will still be the 9th December.

Enjoy the long weekend,

Jo
